PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE OF OUR APPRAISERS
President of Parson Appraisal Company, Inc. and a real estate appraiser with 40 years appraisal and real estate experience. My appraisal experience includes all types and price ranges of single family residential properties including large estates, condominiums, attached townhomes, and zero-lot patio homes. Commercial appraisals include shopping centers, industrial properties, office warehouses, high rise office buildings, churches, apartments, and subdivisions. Real estate brokerage experience includes single family sales and leasing plus commercial sales and leasing.
My appraisal clients (criminal and civil) have included the U.S. Department of Justice/FBI and the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB), cites of Richardson and Dallas, Richardson Independent School District, the U.S. Marshals Service, Collin County, mortgage lenders for originating loans and for REO properties, Fannie Mae for foreclosure properties and appraisal review as well as employee relocation companies for purchase or assistance programs for employees being relocated. I work with attorneys for litigation purposes including property settlement, stigma, distressed properties, fraud, condemnation, and other real estate valuation issues. I work with the U. S. Department of Justice/FBI and the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) as a review appraiser and expert/opinion witness.
I have a Banking and Finance degree from the University of North Texas. I am currently certified by the Appraisal Qualifications Board of The Appraisal Foundation to teach Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and as a real estate appraisal instructor by the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers. I currently hold the IFAS and IFA designations from the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers and previously held the SRA from the Appraisal Institute and the ASA - Urban from the American Society of Appraisers. I am a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (TX-1320421-G) and a licensed Real Estate Broker (No. 0152762) by the State of Texas.
